Prayer & Pastoral Care

Prayer Works

Prayer support is offered on Sundays at Unity Lake Houston following the service. We practice affirmative prayer as taught in Unity, meaning we don't pray to change God's mind, we pray to change our minds in order to know the Truth of who we have come here to be. As we claim this Truth, we live richer, fuller lives, and grow in spiritual understanding.

Prayer Requests

Please send us an email at prayer@unitylakehouston.org with your prayer request. Our team will take it into prayer for a week and then send your request on to Silent Unity where those prayers will continue for another month.

“Prayer is the most highly accelerated mind action known.... It is an affirmation of Truth that eternally exists, but which has not yet come into consciousness. It comes into consciousness not by supplication but by affirmation.”
— Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, Revealing Word

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is important work for any spiritual organization to support its members. Prayer chaplains are available for prayer before and after Sunday services, as well as for monthly wellness calls offering prayer support (usually taking five minutes or less). If you are a member of the church and would like to receive a call from one of our prayer chaplains, please contact us. Those facing health or other challenges, please contact the pastoral care coordinator for prayer, hospital or home visitation, and/or spiritual counseling.

If you are not yet a member of Unity Lake Houston, learn more about our membership meetings happening throughout the year. We are blessed to have such a dedicated group of active, loving, and transformative members.
